Late last year, Castrol Power1 had joined forces with Viacom 18, LCR Honda and RACR to launch India’s Ultimate MotoStar on MTV and JioCinema. Castrol India has now announced this initiative has garnered an impressive response with 9000 registrations from bike enthusiasts across India.
Besides metro hubs, India’s Ultimate MotoStar on MTV has been witnessing tremendous enthusiasm from the motorsport community, even from the smaller towns and cities of India, such as Porbandar, Siliguri, and Bhilai. These biking enthusiasts have been eagerly submitting their introductory videos on the registration website as part of the enrollment process.
As the registration phase draws to a close tonight, the participants will undergo multi-phase selections, starting with regional auditions in Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, and Chennai in March 2024. The top 18 would be selected from thousands of contestants during the auditions phase, who will then participate in a training program led by Indian racing legend – Rajini Krishnan, at the Kari Motorway in Coimbatore. This will lead to a finale to determine the winners.
The lucky winners will get a unique opportunity to further hone their skills at the Castrol Honda LCR MotoGP team facility in Europe, through a comprehensive and immersive racing experience. This strategic partnership aims to provide contestants with exposure to international racing standards and facilitate their development as competitive riders.
