Priced at Rs 2.17 lakh (ex-Delhi), Bajaj has launched the Dominar 400 with factory-fitted touring accessories. That’s nearly Rs 5,000 more than the standard Dominar, but it now gets a taller visor, aerodynamically sculpted fighter jet-inspired hand guard and a discreet looking leg guard, a new bash plate for the engine, a back stopper for the pillion, a carrier for luggage and an optional saddle stay. You’ll have to shell out a nominal cost for the saddle stay over the Dominar’s ex-showroom price.
Apart from the above additions, the Dominar 400 comes with a navigation holder along with a USB charging port. This can be quite handy to charge your devices when you’re doing a long ride. It is available in two different colour options: Aurora Green and Charcoal Black.
As for the mechanicals, the Bajaj Dominar 400 still features the same package. Powering it is a 373cc single-cylinder that manages 39.5 bhp and 3.5 kgm of torque paired to a 6-speed ‘box. Along with that, it still offers a slipper clutch.
Now, these additions definitely make things a lot easier for those who don’t want to be bothered with shopping for touring accessories. For such a nominal price, it does look like a sweet deal. However, we’ll have to wait and see how sturdy these add-ons prove to be when we see them in person. It’d be great to see the younger, Dominar 250, also getting similar accessories. We’ve ridden the new Dominar 250, you can read all about it here.
