Ather Energy has confirmed its new e-scooter — the 450 Apex. In fact, the company has also given a few customers a chance to experience it and has announced that the e-scooter will debut early next year. So, what is the 450 Apex all about?
To set the records straight, the current Ather 450X is no slouch. Its 6.2 kW motor packs enough grunt to propel the 450X from 0 to 40 kph in 3.3 seconds. So, expect the upcoming Apex e-scooter to pack more performance. Ather might also bump up the top speed from 90 kph to over 100 kph.
With the additional performance, the Apex could get single-channel ABS, and the hill-hold and cruise control features that the company said it has been working on. That said, Ather Energy hasn’t revealed much about the scooter except for the fact that the Ather 450 Apex will come with transparent panels — Not translucent like the Series One, but transparent.
Currently, the Ather 450X is priced at Rs 1.45 lakh in Bengaluru, which is inclusive of the Fame 2 subsidy but not the Pro pack. So, we expect the Ather 450 Apex to come at around Rs 1.65 lakh.
