The Kawasaki Z900 is the hottest-selling premium motorcycle in the country despite not being the most sophisticated one, and the 2025 model brings exactly that to the table. Kawasaki has priced the 2025 Z900 at Rs 9.52 lakh (ex-showroom) and there’s a lot that the bike gets for the Rs 12,000 price hike over the outgoing model.
The most obvious change is the design. Right from the Z500-inspired headlight to the fuel tank and the tail light, almost every bit has gone under the knife, yet the silhouette remains unmistakably a Z.
Complementing the design is the updated tech and electronic package on the Z900. The biggest change is the addition of a ride-by-wire throttle that now backs up the ABS, traction control and power modes. Furthemore, the Z also gets cruise control and a bi-directional quickshifter as standard. Kawasaki has also armed the bike with a new Bluetooth-enabled 5-inch TFT console.
Team Green has made no changes to the 948cc liquid-cooled inline-four powerhouse and it continues to make 123 bhp and 10.05 kgm. Even the suspension and chassis remain the same, however, the brakes have received a small update. Instead of the axial callipers, the naked now features radially-mounted ones.
The 2025 Kawasaki Z900 sits in the sweet spot between the Honda CB650R which has less performance but similar price and the comparatively expensive ones like the Ducati Monster and the Triumph Street Triple RS.
