After releasing a bunch of teasers, the 2024 TVS Jupiter 110 has finally made its debut with a price tag of Rs 73,700 (ex-showroom Delhi). The scooter receives its first major upgrade since the first model came in 2013. And rather than going just for a visual overhaul, the company has completely updated its popular scooter.
For starters, the 2024 Jupiter is now powered by an all-new 113.3cc single-cylinder engine that makes 7.9 bhp and 0.93 kgm. Interestingly, the new Jupiter also benefits from ‘iGo assist’ micro-hybrid technology that results in a 0.06 kgm bump in the torque output. This, along with the updates to the engine, promises 10 per cent more mileage and better acceleration.
This engine is cradled in a new chassis borrowed from the Jupiter 125 which means the Jupiter 110 also comes with the front fuel lid and a floorboard-mounted tank, 12-inch wheels and a different suspension setup. Thanks to the new chassis, just like the bigger Jupiter, this one also boasts of a 32-litre underseat storage.
Furthermore, there’s a bunch of new features, including a new LCD instrument console with navigation, call and other connectivity features, a USB charger and lastly, LED illumination all around. However, the lower variants get analogue console and halogen indicators. The design of the 2024 Jupiter 110 still retains the familiar look, yet none of the panels resemble the older scooter. It looks like a thorough update in terms of design.
The TVS Jupiter 110 goes up against the Honda Activa which has been dominating the Indian market, and has even been the highest-selling two-wheeler in the country. Can the new Jupiter pose a threat to the Activa’s dominion? Watch this space for more.
