Triumph Motorcycles has finally launched its updated Tiger 900 range in India. The House of Hinckley has launched its ADV in two trims: the GT and the Rally Pro. While the former, road-focused version costs Rs 13.95 Lakhs, the dirt-happy trim of the ADV will set you back by Rs 15.95 Lakhs

The new Triumph Tiger 900 duo benefits from a slew of mechanical updates. Now, the 888 cc, liquid-cooled, inline-triple motor pumps out 106.5 bhp and 9.1 kgm — that is 13 per cent more power than before. The engine also now claims to be nine per cent more fuel efficient than before.

Other updates on the Triumph Tiger 900 twins include a seven-inch colour TFT display with a new UI, inspired by the one on the Tiger 1200. The British marque has also introduced a new emergency deceleration warning system that switches on hazard lights under hard braking. Triumph offers four standard riding modes — Road, Rain, Sport and Off-road. For the Rally Pro trim, there are two additional modes: Rider Programmable and Off-road Pro.

The House of Hinckley has also made a few changes to the design. These include a redesigned beak, side panels and a new flatter, wider seat. Lastly, the Rally Pro variant also benefits from a revised handlebar geometry which is raised by 15 mm for better control.

The Tiger 900 GT and the Rally Pro contest with the Ducati DesertX and the Multistrada V2 primarily. However, other bikes such as the Honda XL750Transalp and the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE come as an affordable alternative.
