The smooth, agile 2022 Honda CB300R has been launched for Rs 2.77 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Last month at the India Bike Week, Honda had first unveiled the CB300R.
This model brings a handful of updates along with a BS6-compliant engine. Powering it is a 286cc DOHC four-valve liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with PGM-FI tech that produces a healthy 30 bhp@9000rpm and 2.84 kgm of torque@7500 rpm. This time, the 6-speed gearbox comes along with an assist and slipper clutch. By the way, the new engine hasn’t affected the CB300R’s kerb weight, in fact, it now weighs 146 kg, which is a kilogram lighter than before.
Braking duties on the CB300R are handled by a 296-mm disc up front and a 220-mm rotor at the rear. Similarly, the suspension setup remains unchanged. And guess what? Other features like the LED lights and the LCD instrument cluster also remain unchanged.
Well, if you look closely, you’ll see a few cosmetic changes like the golden finished upside-down front fork and a slightly redesigned exhaust. The CB300R is available in two colour options: the Pearl Spartan Red and Matte Steel Black. Despite the substantial increase in its price as compared to its BS4 variant, would you folks consider the CB300R?
