Suzuki Katana has received a new limited-edition version, created primarily for collectors and enthusiasts of the neo-retro sportbike. The special model has been introduced in Germany and production is capped at just 45 units, making it one of the rarest versions of the modern Katana.

Mechanically, the limited edition remains identical to the standard Katana. It continues to use the familiar 999cc inline-four engine derived from the GSX-R1000, producing 151 bhp and 10.5 kgm of torque. The aluminium twin-spar frame, suspension setup and electronic rider aids also remain unchanged, indicating that this edition focuses more on exclusivity and aesthetics rather than performance upgrades.

Visually, however, the motorcycle gets a few distinctive touches. The bodywork is finished in a silver paint scheme paired with bronze wheels, giving the bike a slightly more premium and retro-inspired appearance. The tail section is finished in black, contrasting with the main body panels and subtly altering the Katana’s sharp silhouette. Each bike also carries a numbered decal, highlighting its place within the 45-unit production run.

Additional accessories further emphasise its collector appeal. The bike comes equipped with frame sliders, a carbon-look tank pad, and a road-legal slip-on exhaust from Akrapovič. Owners will also receive a Katana-branded garage mat and a commemorative book that documents the history and evolution of the model.

Interestingly, this limited edition arrives at a time when the Katana is no longer on sale in markets like India. As a result, the special version serves as a small tribute to one of Suzuki’s most iconic nameplates, celebrating the legacy of the modern reinterpretation of the legendary 1981 Katana.
