More from Motoring

There was a time when Lancia didn’t just go rallying; it terrified everyone else on the stages. Then came the long, confusing years. Badge swaps, forgettable cars, and a brand that felt like it had lost its way and its will.

Now, though, Lancia is quietly waking up. The HF Integrale name is back in conversation, rally intentions are being hinted at, and suddenly the brand feels… hopeful. Not reborn, not rebadged — just interesting again.

And in true Lancia fashion, the first proper sign of life isn’t a car. It’s a watch.

Teaming up with Swiss watchmaker Eberhard & Co, Lancia has launched a limited-edition timepiece to mark the return of the legendary HF logo. Only 360 pieces will be made, which feels appropriately exclusive for a badge that once dominated stopwatches for a living.

The good news is that this watch doesn’t scream for attention. It’s clean, restrained, and refreshingly grown up. The stainless-steel case measures 41mm across and just 10.45mm thick, slimmer than a Rolex Submariner, if you enjoy winning pub arguments. Power comes from a Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement with a 38-hour power reserve. Solid, proven, and drama-free.

Water resistance is rated at 50 metres. Enough for rain, splashes, and accidental poolside flexing. Not enough for pretending you’re on a naval mission.

Details are where it starts to charm. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, polished skeleton hands filled with Super-LumiNova, and just enough shine without crossing into jewellery-store territory. The slanted HF logo is the hero, of course, while the red seconds hand adds a subtle nod to Lancia’s motorsport past without going full rally livery.

Three sunburst dial colours are available — blue, white, and black — each limited to 120 pieces. Flip the watch over, and you’ll find the Lancia logo and individual serial number engraved on the caseback.

Buyers can choose between a vintage leather strap with red stitching or a stainless-steel bracelet. Heart says leather. Brain says bracelet.

Pricing starts at €1,980 or approximately ₹1.8 lakh (excluding taxes), and availability is limited to select authorised retailers. Is it slightly indulgent? Yes. Is it unnecessary? Also, yes. But as comeback statements go, it’s quietly confident, and very Lancia.
