Mahindra has unveiled its most dramatic electric vehicle to date – the limited-edition BE 6 Batman Edition, created in collaboration with Warner Bros. Priced at ₹27.79 lakh (ex-showroom), this collector’s item will be strictly limited to just 300 units. Bookings open on August 23, with deliveries beginning September 20 to coincide with International Batman Day.
Inspired by Christopher Nolan’s iconic The Dark Knight Trilogy, this special edition transforms Mahindra’s 79kWh BE 6 into a rolling tribute to Gotham’s legendary protector. The design team, led by Pratap Bose, Mahindra’s Chief Design Officer, has crafted what they describe as “a fusion of cinematic heritage and modern luxury” – essentially creating drivable Batman memorabilia that blends pop culture with automotive innovation.

The BE 6 Batman Edition features a striking Custom Satin Black paint scheme adorned with subtle Batman decals. Its muscular stance is enhanced by 20-inch alloy wheels featuring Bat-embossed hubcaps, while Alchemy Gold brake calipers and suspension components provide a dramatic contrast. The unique Infinity Roof design incorporates a rear windshield emblem, and special Night Trail carpet lamps project the iconic Bat symbol onto the ground when doors open.
Inside, the Batman theme continues with a numbered Alchemy Gold dashboard plaque (from 1/300 to 300/300) marking each vehicle’s exclusivity. The cabin features premium charcoal leather upholstery with gold stitching and Bat-embossed seats, while a custom Batman-themed startup animation plays on the infotainment display. Gold accents adorn the steering wheel and controls, and the vehicle even produces unique Batman-inspired EV engine sounds.
While maintaining the standard BE 6’s 79kWh battery and 450km range, the Batman Edition adds special touches like a Bat-embossed “Boost” button (though it doesn’t actually enhance performance) and themed drive modes named after Batman characters. Each vehicle comes with collector’s packaging including a custom key fob and authentication certificate, elevating the ownership experience.
At nearly ₹28 lakh, this limited-edition model positions itself as a lifestyle statement rather than a practical EV purchase. For the 300 fortunate buyers, it offers something no conventional electric vehicle can match – the opportunity to own what Mahindra describes as “a moving piece of cinematic history.”
With production strictly capped and deliveries timed to Batman Day, this bold collaboration proves that electric vehicles can inspire passion as much as they represent sustainable mobility.
