Citroën India has unveiled the upgraded C3X hatchback, with prices ranging from ₹5.25 lakh to ₹10.15 lakh (ex-showroom). This new version introduces several premium features while maintaining the C3’s core appeal, making it a strong contender in the budget hatchback segment.
The C3X debuts as part of Citroën’s ‘2.0 – Shift Into The New’ strategy, bringing meaningful upgrades to the popular hatchback. While retaining its familiar silhouette, the car now offers cruise control for relaxed highway driving and an auto-dimming IRVM that automatically adjusts to reduce nighttime glare. New tech touches include a 360-degree camera available as a ₹25,000 optional extra on Shine variants, along with all-LED lighting that improves visibility and gives the car a more premium look.

Inside, the infotainment system gets a boost with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity through the 10.25-inch touchscreen, while a rear USB-C port ensures passengers can keep their devices charged. Safety sees significant improvements too, with the addition of six airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, tire pressure monitoring, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and perimeter alarm protection.
Under the hood, the C3X carries forward Citroën’s reliable engine choices. Buyers can opt between the 1.2-litre PureTech 82 naturally aspirated petrol engine delivering 80.4 bhp and 11.72 kgm of torque, or the more powerful 1.2-litre PureTech 110 turbo petrol that produces 108.5 bhp and 20.90 kgm.
Transmission options include 5-speed and 6-speed manual gearboxes, along with a 6-speed automatic for those preferring convenience. The turbocharged version remains impressively quick, capable of accelerating from 0-100 kph in under 10 seconds, while still returning a claimed fuel efficiency of 19.3 kpl.
The C3X introduces a vibrant new Garnet Red color option, available in both monotone and dual-tone configurations (paired with a Perla Nera Black roof). Other exterior color choices include Polar White, Steel Grey, Cosmo Blue, and Perla Nera Black. Inside, the cabin offers three distinct themes to suit different tastes: the C3 Live comes with Injected Grey upholstery, the C3 Feel features Anodized Grey trim, while the range-topping C3X Shine variant gets a premium Metropolitan leatherette-wrapped dashboard.
Citroën has already opened bookings for the C3X across its dealership network nationwide. The company plans to display the vehicle at showrooms by mid-August, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in the first week of September. This refreshed hatchback combines practical upgrades with Citroën’s signature comfort-focused engineering, offering Indian buyers a well-equipped and stylish option in the competitive compact car segment.
