Mahindra has announced that its newly launched Thar Roxx received an astounding 1.76 lakh bookings within the first 60 minutes of opening. With deliveries set to begin on Dussehra, Mahindra has expressed gratitude for the strong customer response. The company will notify customers of their tentative delivery schedules in phases over the next three weeks.
The Roxx, the latest addition to the Mahindra Thar family, is Mahindra’s answer to the city/off-roader. Its 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine powers the vehicle, delivering 150 bhp and 33.6 kgm of torque in the manual version, while the automatic version produces 172.5 bhp and 37.7 kgm of torque.
The vehicle has taken an interesting turn with customer feedback, leading to the introduction of the 5-door variant, which has finally given recognition to what was once considered a 2-seater for comfort or a cramped 4-seater.
