Last month MG began production of the Hector Plus at its Halol plant in Gujarat and today it’s revealed a few more details about the upcoming Hector Plus.

First things first, MG will be introducing the Hector Plus in a 6-seater configuration instead of a 7-seat one, with two captain seats in the middle row. There will be a 7-seater, but it will go on sale later on.

To distinguish it from the regular Hector, the Hector Plus gets a new grille, headlights, tail-lights, bumpers, new alloy wheels and skid plates among other subtle differences. The Hector Plus will be available in three trim levels — Super, Smart and Sharp. It carries forward the same powertrain options from the Hector, with the availability of a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 168 bhp, paired to a 6-speed manual, a 141 bhp 1.5-litre turbo petrol mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission or a 141 bhp 1.5-litre petrol with a 48V mild-hybrid system paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The Hector Plus will be available in eight colourways: Starry sky blue, Glaze red, Burgundy red, Starry black, Candy white and Aurora silver. You can place your order with a deposit of Rs 50,000 by clicking on this link: https://www.mgmotor.co.in/tools/ebooking
