Tata Motors has launched its compact SUV, the Nexon, in Nepal, through its distributor, Sipradi Trading Private Limited, which has 20 authorised outlets across the country. Identical to the one sold in India, the vehicle retails at Rs 32.75 lakh for the petrol version and Rs 41.55 lakh for the diesel one.

There are four variants (XE, XM, XT, and XZ+) on sale, five colours (Vermont Red, Moroccan Blue, Seattle Silver, Glasgow Grey, and Calgary White), and two engine options (both mated to manual gearboxes; diesel gets a six-speed unit), and a standard warranty of 75,000 km or 3 years.

Tata Motors’ Head for International Business, Passenger Vehicle unit, Sujan Roy said, “As part of our business strategy, we are renewing the focus on filling product gaps and tapping emerging white spaces. We introduce products that not just enhance the brand but are aligned with the rising aspirations of customers. The Tata Nexon It is the culmination of this radical shift in thinking and will further expand Tata Motors’ addressable market.”

Sipradi Trading’s Executive Chairman, Siddhartha SJB Rana said, “With the launch of the Tata Nexon, we have now expanded our business beyond hatchbacks and sedans. This is our first big step into the Compact SUV segment, and we are proud to do it with a high-quality product from the house of Tatas.”

Tata showcased the Nexon at the Auto Expo 2018 in two upcoming avatars, a bodykit-equipped/accessorised Nexon Aero and the Nexon AMT. Expect those to be added to the Indian line-up soon.
