Adding to the current list of crossover SUVs that Skoda has in its range globally (the Kodiaq and Karoq), the Skoda Vision X will debut in concept form this year. At the Geneva International Motor Show next month, the Vision X will be showcased with a hybrid powertrain, in line with the company’s vision of adding plug-in hybrid and all-electric models by 2025.

Like with the other ‘Vision’ concepts we’ve seen in the past, the Vision X is bound to draw praises. It’s finished in FlexGreen paint, with Anthracite-coloured panoramic glass roof, 20-inch alloys, and strong character lines all around the body. The mention of compact proportions suggests that it will be positioned below the Karoq in Skoda’s SUV line up.

Skoda Vision X Interior

On the inside, the company claims that it’s a new design language for them. Like the outside, which is inspired by Czech glasswork, there’s an extensive use of glass inside for ‘atmospheric lighting effects’. There’s also a large colour display, which as the press announcement hints, accepts gesture control.

More information on it will be available at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show next month.
