If you thought the A- and B-Class were a bit neglected, you would be glad to know that Mercedes Benz has upgraded them in India. With the introduction of a new Night Edition (for both), the cars get added features, and limited availability (to hundred units each) – so they’re going to be exclusive as well.

Engine options include a 1.6-litre petrol unit that makes 121 bhp and a 2.1-litre diesel engine which makes 134 bhp. Both cars are front-wheel drive (no optional 4MATIC system on these ones) and get a seven-speed automatic gearbox.

Mercedes Benz Night Edition A-Class B-Class India launched

On the outside, the Night Edition models get mirror housing, hub cabs, and radiator grille all covered in black. There’s a ‘Night Edition’ badge, in addition to that. On the inside, the major change is the inclusion of an eight-inch infotainment screen. The system now supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as seen on the previous year’s GLA Activity Edition.

Prices for the A-Class Night Edition start at Rs 27.31 lakh for A 180 (petrol) while the diesel-engined A 200 d is priced at Rs 28.32 lakhs. The B-Class, on the other hand, is available for Rs 29.34 lakh for the B 180 and Rs 30.35 lakh for the B 200 d. All prices are ex-showroom, Pune.
