Affalterbach has yet another stonker for our shores. This is the Mercedes AMG GLE 63 S Coupe and it’s the latest addition to Mercedes-Benz India’s lineup. Priced at Rs 2.07 crore, ex-showroom, this 603-bhp SUV is quick to reach 100 kph before you can say Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe. That’s 3.8 seconds on paper and comes with an electronically limited top speed of 280 kph.

All that firepower comes in from a 4.0-litre V8 bi-turbo engine that’s paired to an EQ boost 48-volt hybrid. This helps the engine develop another 21 bhp and 25.4 kgm. Mind you, that’s a lot for a two-tonne SUV with an adaptive all-wheel drive system. Yes, it can send power to each wheel and gets a much stiffer suspension setup. That’s good to resist body roll. Of course, you need a quick-shifting gearbox when you’re gunning it around the corners and the 9-speed auto ‘box does the trick.

Inside, you’ll find all the AMG-specific details. For instance, the nappa leather added to the AMG seats. Of course, plenty of AMG badges as well. Outside, you get the same AMG badging and feature bold 22-inch light alloy wheels. Oh, and you get dedicated service advisors and diagnostic engineers to take care of your precious beasts. How cool is that, then?
