This is the all-new Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Prices start from Rs 6.35 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 9.49 lakh (both ex-showroom, India). Under Maruti’s subscription scheme, one can still own a Baleno without breaking the bank by paying Rs 13,999 as monthly fees. The Baleno’s loaded to the gills with features like a 360-degree camera, head-up display, six airbags, all-new 16-inch alloys, new LED DRLs and new C-shaped LED tail lights, among other things.

Inside, it borrows the tilt and telescopic steering wheel from the Swift and the instrument cluster from the S-Cross. Also, it gets a 9-inch Smartplay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa support, auto IRVM, to name a few.

Under the hood, the Baleno’s powered by a 1.2-litre four-cylinder that puts out 89 bhp and 11.52 kgm, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. Yes, the CVT ‘box isn’t available anymore. The Baleno is now available in six colour options — Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Grandeur Grey, Nexa Blue, Opulent Red and Luxe Beige. We still prefer the Splendid Silver option. Also, the Baleno will not have a sunroof, and yes, we’ve gone through the press release many times. Anyway, stay tuned for our review of the all-new Baleno.
