The Nissan Kicks may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of SUVs, but with the introduction of a new 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine, it is now the most powerful SUV in its segment. The new engine, which produces 156 bhp and 25.9 kgm of peak torque, is available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT. That’s an incredible 47% increase in power over its naturally aspirated 1.5-litre petrol variant!

The Kicks also sports some technology derived from the legendary GT-R, namely the cylinder coating technology, to ensure efficiency.

The Kicks is also easier on the pocket compared to its rivals. Priced at Rs 11.85 lakh for the manual and Rs 13.45 lakh for the CVT variant, the Kicks is very affordable indeed.
