In just six months from turning 20, Hyundai Motor India has rolled out its 8 millionth car. The car in question is a MY2018 Creta.

A bit of a history lesson for you all: Hyundai entered the Indian market in 1998 with its tallboy Hyundai Santro. The company, in eight years that is in 2006, managed to not only make a mark for itself but also produce its first millionth vehicle from the Chennai-based facility. In total Hyundai Motor India has sold 53,00,967 vehicles in the Indian market and has exported 27,03,581 units. Going forwards, the Korean carmaker targets to breach the 10 million mark in the first half of 2021. Given that its highest-ever domestic sales (India) of 5,36,241 units was recently achieved (in FY 2017-18), there’s no questing the company’s abilities.
