Among the sea of sub-four-metre saloons on the market, the Ford Aspire is often regarded as the best package for keen drivers. Based on the Figo hatchback, the car received a facelift last year along with the introduction of new engine and gearbox choices. Ford’s now launched a greener and more economical version of the Ford Aspire — one that’s powered by CNG.

The CNG kit will be fitted to the 1.2-litre petrol-engined models at Ford’s dealerships across the country. The company claims it will help the Aspire achieve the lowest cost of ownership — at a claimed maintenance cost of just 46 paise/km. Talking of ownership, it’s likely to be a peaceful one, too — backed by a standard two-year/1-lakh-km warranty. Ford adds that service interval for the CNG kits is 2 years or 20,000 km whereas service interval for the car is 1 year/10,000 km.

The Ford Aspire CNG is available in two trims: Ambiente priced at Rs 6.27 lakh and Trend Plus priced at Rs 7.12 lakh. It comes with features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, auto AC, reverse-parking camera, standard two frontal airbags, etc.

Ford India’s Executive Director for Marketing, Sales & Service, Vinay Rana said, “The new Aspire CNG is yet another fuel-efficient and eco-friendly alternative for our value-conscious customers. With maintenance cost as low as just 46 paise per km, the new Aspire CNG will offer great peace of mind to customers, without compromising on performance, safety or space.”
