The third generation of the BMW X3 has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 59.90 lakh (ex-showroom), and it’s available in SportX Plus and M Sport trim. This time, BMW has slightly tweaked the X3’s front and rear also updated the tech inside but has left out the punchy diesel motor option from its lineup for now.
Instead, it has put faith in the 249-bhp 2.0-litre turbo petrol that churns out 35.69 kgm of torque. Its engine is paired with an 8-speed auto gearbox and also offers all-wheel drive as standard. The dynamic suspension system and variable torque split system is only available on top-spec M Sport trim, however. But, for that, you’ll have to shed Rs 6 lakh over the SportX Plus trim.
Inside, the M Sport trim gets all the goodies like a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with gesture control feature, fully-digital 12.3-inch instrument display, Harman Kardon sound system, and 360-degree view camera among other things. In comparison, the SportX Plus sports a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, analogue instrument cluster, 12-speaker sound system and parking sensors.
