For the year 2022, Suzuki has given the S-Cross a new look. That’s right, it’s Suzuki and not Maruti Suzuki. As you can see from the pictures, it’s apparent that the 2022 S-Cross has changed from all ends. Apart from all the visual changes that it now gets, it also comes with ADAS features, and a 48-volt mild-hybrid tech for its 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine.

Speaking of powertrain, there’s absolutely no change in the 1.4-litre’s power output. It still produces 125 bhp and 23.96 kgm of torque, paired to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed auto ‘box. It isn’t short on power as it sprints from knot to 100 kph in 9.5 seconds. Moreover, you can even opt for an AWD S-Cross with four drive modes, which is seven tenths slower to the 100 kph mark than the two wheel drive variant.

In terms of features, the list is certainly longer than before. It offers a 360-degree parking camera, LED headlights, and new 17-inch alloys, to name a few. Inside, it now offers a panoramic sunroof, leather seat upholstery, a large 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a revised instrument cluster.

Whereas, on the safety front, there are a few driver assistance systems which include autonomous emergency braking, blindspot monitoring, lane departure prevention, traffic-sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control among other things. We’re unsure whether the S-Cross will sail across the ocean and come to our shores. Either way, do let us know if you think Maruti Suzuki should bring this S-Cross to India or not.
