JLR has updated the Discovery Sport with the MY2018 features for the Indian market. The vehicle now gets Wi-Fi Hotspot and Pro Services, apart from all the goodness that the Land Rover Discovery Sport offered already.

The Pro Services for the InControl infotainment system adds three main features: Route Planner app, Commute mode, and Sharing ETA. The Route Planner app allows one to sync routes from his/her smartphone with the car’s navigation system. The Commute mode automatically learns the route the car takes every day, and smartly displays congestion and alternate routes available accordingly. The Sharing ETA feature, as the name suggests, allows automated SMSes to user-defined contacts regarding estimated time of arrival.

In addition, with the Wi-Fi Hotspot feature, a total of eight devices can be connected to access 4G on the go. Everything else remains unchanged, while it must be noted that the MY2018 Discovery Sport is available with the 2-litre diesel engine only.

JLR India’s President and MD, Rohit Suri said, ““The Discovery Sport has been enriched for Model Year 2018 to provide a more connected experience to our tech-savvy customers in India. This emphasises our commitment to offer the very latest in in-car infotainment and connected technologies.”
