It is powered by a 660cc triple-cylinder engine that delivers 80 bhp at 10,250 rpm and 6.52 kgm at 6250 rpm, mated to a 6-speed transmission along with a slip and assist clutch. Triumph’s suspension has been tweaked to make it more suitable for sport-touring. It has the same 41-mm Showa USD fork in the front and a Showa monoshock RSU in the back as the Trident but with 150-mm more wheel travel. It also has the same 17-inch wheels as the Trident, which are covered in Michelin Road 5 rubber.
