Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Limited has begun despatching its Auto Expo 2018 exhibit, the Honda X-Blade. The motorcycle, priced at Rs 78,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi), is a fusion of new looks and features with Honda’s very popular 160 cc engine.

It’s certain that design was one of the priorities when making the Honda X-Blade. The bike features alloy wheels, a dual outlet muffler, an aggressively styled fuel tank, etc. And while not at a bank breaker of a price, the Honda X-Blade is feature-rich, too, with things like a digital meter, full LED headlamp and tail lamp, and a choice of five colour-combination choices offered as standard.

And it’s no slouch on the basics, either. Honda offers its hugely popular 162.71 cc HET engine on the X-Blade. It makes 13.93 bhp@8500 rpm and 1.41 kgm@6000 rpm. A mono-shock suspension at the rear is standard, and so is a 130 mm rear tyre.

As mentioned, the company has begun despatching units, and you can book one against an advance payment of Rs 5,000 at any of the Honda dealerships across the country.

HMSI’s Senior VP (Sales and Marketing), Yadvinder Singh Guleria said, “The aggressive and futuristic new X-Blade has been designed for millennials and Gen-Z. As promised, we have started the dispatches of X-Blade in March 2018. Armed with more style, Honda’s tried and tested HET 160cc engine, and superior technology, X-Blade creates a new benchmark with several segment first features in its class and that too at an attractive price of Rs. 78,500 (Ex-showroom, Delhi).”
