Hero Moto Corp has further strengthened its presence in the commuter segment with the inclusion of three new products. These, announced today, will be made available in the market from January 2018 onwards. Two of these are from the Passion line: the Passion Pro and Passion XPro; while there’s the more powerful new Super Splendor, too.
Both the new Passion Pro and Passion XPro are powered by a 110 cc engine that makes 9.38 bhp and 0.91 kgm. There’s Hero’s Stop-Start system (i3s) available on both, and the 0-60 kph dash takes 7.45 seconds, thanks to a 12 per cent increase in power compared to the previous generation.
Features are shared between the two, but the Passion XPro is clearly younger-looking of the two. The Passion Pro uses similar styling to the original iteration of the motorcycle. There are five paint schemes available for both bikes, while both can be bought with an optional disc brake at the front wheel.
The larger capacity Hero Super Spendor is claimed to offer a 27 per cent increase in power and a 6 per cent increase in torque in comparison to its previous generation version. Positioned atop the other two bikes here, the Super Splendor comes with a 125 cc engine (11.26 bhp and 1.12 kgm). Like the other two, it also has torque-on-demand, i3s, five colours to choose from, and a slew of features. There are some additions given its relatively more premium positioning, too.
