BMW Motorrad launched the BMW R 1250 RT, the BMW K 1600 GTL, the BMW K 1600 Bagger and the BMW K 1600 Grand America in India. Deliveries of the motorcycles for customers who had pre-booked the motorcycles in India, start in August 2022. BMW has enhanced the performance and refinement of the 2-cylinder boxer and the 6-cylinder engines. This aided by the ride comfort and exclusive features will further provide for relaxed cruising on long highways.
The base R 1250 RT now looks fresher and more dynamic with enhanced touring attributes. BMW has given it aerodynamic advancements with new fairing and full-LED headlamps. The 2-cylinder boxer engine also has BMW ShiftCam technology ensuring even power and good fuel economy. The 1254-cc unit churns out 134 bhp and 14.5 kgm of peak torque. It goes from zero to 100 kph in 3.7 seconds while the top speed is 200 kph.
The new K 1600 model’s 6-cylinder in-line engine produces 158 bhp at 6750 rpm and 18.3 kgm at 5250 rpm. BMW states that the richer torque characteristic provides a more relaxed cruising feeling. The drag torque control (dynamic engine brake control) and Dynamic ESA are other features of the powertrain.
A new 10.25-inch TFT colour display with integrated navigation and connectivity offers excellent readability and clear menu navigation. It also gets a new Audio System for music on the move. The motorcycles are also available in various colour options. BMW India Financial Services further offers various financial solutions to own these motorcycles.
BMW Motorrad bikes come with a standard warranty for three years and unlimited km. The warranty can be extended to the fourth and fifth year at an additional cost. Road Side Assistance, a 24×7 365-day package further ensures prompt services in case of breakdown and towing situations.
