Ford India has issued a recall for 48700 EcoSports. They are from two batches – 48,000 EcoSports manufactured between April 2013 and June 2014 and 700 made between January 2016 and February of the same year. The older EcoSports will get the bundle clip on the fuel and brake lines replaced, while the smaller batch  of cars (the updated EcoSport) is getting bolts replaced which are used in the rear split folding seats. Specifically, out of the 60/40 split folding seats, the 40 percent seat has bolts that aren’t up to spec, so might break. Ford India has clarified that this recall is not due to any customer complaints of failures of the mentioned components. The inspection and replacement will be made by Ford free of charge.

This recall comes right on the heels of Maruti issuing one for the Suzuki S-Cross.
